Lauren Weingarten (she/her) is a credentialed Victim Advocate (NACP) and Certified Trauma Support Specialist. She is the voice and founder of the MTV Community Support Network, one of the first online-based support communities established for survivors & supporters of survivors. Before MTMV, Weingarten had a successful, decades-long career working behind the scenes in TV/Film production. She has since found purpose in understanding trauma and leading conversations surrounding abuse and sexual violence to build and foster a community amongst survivors and their supporters. With years of advocacy training and trauma education, Lauren has focused on developing survivor-led peer support groups, workshops, and virtual community events, bridging local and global communities alike. She also works as a consultant helping research teams and professional organizations strengthen their survivor-informed care. Her best friend is a pup named Tofu and she loves pizza, falafel, and tending to her plants.

Journaling club

On Telegram
Journaling is a great way to great the junk out of your head and on to paper to help you process! Click here to learn more about the benefits of journaling to your mental health.
Our virtual Journaling Club is on Telegram and is anonymous. Everyday, you'll receive a journaling prompt. You can write, draw, doodle, scrapbook it - whatever feels right to you! You do not have to journal every day, and you can share your entries with the group whenever you want to (or not!). Just take a pic and post - we'll be cheering you on!

Then, once a month, for those who want to, we will schedule a group Zoom drop in, where you can share your favorite entries with the group and hang out with us, live!

This group is open to all Jewish survivors of sexual abuse, over the age of 18, and is free for all participants!
